About Saksham

Enabling Potential. Empowering Identity

Project Saksham is Samagra Foundation’s flagship inclusion and empowerment initiative aimed at building the capabilities of individuals who are often excluded from mainstream development—Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), LGBTQIA+ individuals, underserved youth, and those living in slum and tribal communities.

Through skill development, mental health support, social entitlement linkages, and livelihood opportunities, Saksham creates a pathway for dignity, self-reliance, and active participation in society.

Objectives

  • Empower marginalized individuals with life skills, digital knowledge, and employability training
  • Provide mental health counseling and support services
  • Facilitate linkage to welfare schemes, scholarships, and entitlements
  • Promote inclusive practices in education, employment, and health access
  • Build safe spaces for expression, growth, and economic independence

Target Beneficiaries

  • Persons with Disabilities (PwDs)
  • LGBTQIA+ individuals including transgender persons
  • Underserved youth (school dropouts, unemployed, economically disadvantaged)
  • Children in vulnerable situations, such as those rescued from trafficking or begging
  • Slum & tribal community members
The strength of lasting change lies in the small building blocks
