π Samagra Foundation: Building Holistic Communities Through Education, Health & Livelihoods
In a world where development often leaves the most vulnerable behind, Samagra Foundation is redefining what it means to create inclusive, sustainable, and grassroots-led transformation.
From the slums of urban India to the remotest tribal villages, Samagra is more than an NGO—it is a movement of hope, equity, and empowerment.
π― A Mission Rooted in Inclusion
Founded by Lokesh Mahajan, Samagra Foundation was born out of a vision: to ensure that every person—regardless of their caste, class, gender identity, ability, or economic status—has access to education, livelihoods, and healthcare.
Whether it’s a young girl in a tribal village with no access to digital tools, a 19-year-old school dropout from a slum, or a transgender youth denied mental healthcare—Samagra intervenes where the system often fails.
Programs that Touch Lives
The Foundation operates across three major pillars:
1. Education for All
With its projects like ShikshaSetu, Pathsala, and the Smart Shiksha Platform, Samagra offers everything from remedial education to AI-based digital learning—absolutely free. Through a partnership with grassroot organisations, the organisation is aiming to train 1,00,000 youth in digital productivity by 2025.
And for those pursuing traditional education, the Foundation connects them to India’s largest scholarship portal—unlocking βΉ600 Cr+ worth of opportunities.
2. Livelihood & Youth Empowerment
Unemployment doesn’t just mean lack of income—it means a loss of dignity. Samagra tackles this through:
- Skill Development programs in retail, microfinance, and stock management
- 100-hour job-readiness training with placement support
- Entrepreneurship training for SHG members, especially women and persons with disabilities
These efforts have already empowered hundreds of youth and women to become income generators, not dependents.
3. Health & Wellness for Underserved Communities
Health is not a privilege—it’s a right. Samagra Foundation offers:
- Mental health counseling for LGBTQIA+ individuals
- Free Panchakarma therapies & Ayurveda-based treatments
- Community health camps in slums and rural regions
- Immunity building for children through Suvarnaprashan
Projects like Ayurai combine nature-based solutions, organic farming, and Ayurveda to promote long-term health and climate resilience.
π Leaving No One Behind: LGBTQIA+ Inclusion
In a rare, yet much-needed move, Samagra works directly with the LGBTQIA+ community to provide:
- Psychosocial support
- HIV testing & awareness
- Skill development
- Linkage to government entitlements
At a time when many still face stigma, Samagra’s safe spaces are saving lives.
This model ensures that solutions are local, sustainable, and scalable.
